OK...not a big riddle! Jackie is Gimpy, Sheri is The Kid and I am..... well, shall we say Chunky for now!
If you want to follow us as we begin a three week (almost) adventure in the Old World, please do! We would like your comments, suggestions, (subliminal message: send money to help pay for our airfare) or thoughts, so don't hesitate to write.
We did arrive safely in Geneva. Julia picked us up in a nic SKODA station wagon. I believe Skoda is made in one of the the Solvakias, not sure which one.
We stopped for jambon frommage sandwiches....which is ham and cheese. But understand, the ham is great, the cheese is great and the bread is fantastic!
The flight from Chicago was about 8 hours....then we had another short hop from Zurich to Geneva.
Ever try to sleep on a plane? The couple in front of us put their chairs down almost immediately, which gave Jackie and I no leg room whatsoever. Then...they bounced. Banging into their chair about every 15 minutes as they shifted. And worse than that, one of them farted....quite a bit.
I spent most of my night squirming and trying to find a comfortable, odor free position.
Sheri was lucky...she had a little kid in front of her who didn't need to move the seat much. Need to is the operative word.
Anyway, I figure we have been up since 7 a.m. Monday and it is now about 4:30 here, or 9:30 back home, and we are getting tired.....
Glad you 3 made it in one piece. Look forward to reading about your adventures.
