Gimpy says....We had a long ride on the TGV. Brought lunch with and ate on the train....cheese, ham, bread and wine. Also had some great cookies for dessert. Took a taxi to the apartment. The apartment is gorgeous. There are two bedrooms and a living room Sheri is using as a bedroom. There is also a dining room and small kitchen and bathroom. The property manager explained a few rules to us...how to use the tv, how to find the internet code, how the washing machine works. Then Terry, Julia and Sheri walked to the Eiffel Tower, which was farther than they thought it would be.

Chunky says.... Description says the apartment is a 10 minute walk. David, the manager, said it's closer to 25. May have taken us 40. But it was worth it!! One of two passenger elevators is not working. Some people have elected to walk up to the first and second levels.....or climb a 10 story building. Being of sound mind but not body, I opted to watch those walk. Sheri and Julia also declined the hike up.
The Kid says.... The Eiffel Tower was amazing! As Terry said it took us longer than anticipated to get there, but it was worth it. We caught a ride back on the Metro and met Jackie for a late dinner. It's been a long day and I look forward to dodging rain drops tomorrow. Au Revoir!
